As outlined in our 2015 outlook published in the December eLetter, we are actively seeking alumni volunteers who can help us achieve our strategic initiatives of building our undergraduate brotherhood, having competitive facilities, engaging alumni, and fundraising for the future. Specifically, we are looking for the following positions:

  • Facilities Director, to oversee they physical plant and grounds
  • Alumni Director, to oversee alumni engagement efforts
  • Assistant Advisors, to work directly with undergraduates in functional areas such as rush, programming, finances, or risk management.

Facilities Director

  • Oversees the physical plant and grounds of the house
  • Conducts maintenance and repair for equipment and other items
  • Conducts renovations and improvements
  • Purchases replacement equipment
  • Has various systems inspected for safety and compliance with ordinances
  • Works with undergraduate house manager

Alumni Director

  • Oversees alumni engagement efforts
  • Handles alumni communications by providing content and other items to alumni communications service (newsletter articles, monthly eletter blurbs)
  • Conducts niche marketing, communications and programming to ensure engagement across different alumni eras, geographies, etc.
  • Works with undergraduate alumni chairman to plan alumni events (Homecoming, spring picnic)
  • Assists with upkeep of alumni database
  • Coordinates with the national fraternity and foundation as needed

Assistant Advisors

  • Works directly with undergraduates in a functional area(s) such as rush, programming, finances or risk management
  • Meets weekly or bi-weekly with relevant undergraduate officers
  • Sets expectations for chapter performance and provides advice on best practices
  • Monitors performance and directs course corrections when needed
  • Teaches undergraduates how to be successful by coaching and doing (when needed)

The time commitment is minimal but your volunteer position will make a big impact on the future of our chapter.
